The molehill is linked to "The Online Website", which was created in 1832. Right from the start it was tremendously popular (even though computers did not exist yet). It was translated into 153 languages and reached the remotest civilizations. But it soon became the most cited web reference in the world, so the people who "invented" it decided that the project had to stop. But they still wanted to have some sort of online presence, a younger, more refreshing, more intimate website. And that site is "the molehill". Back to the roots!

The symbolic value of this site, though obvious for some people, needs to be explained. It is based on the symbol of the molehill (the website), the tunnels (hypertext links) and the moles (designers and users).
